What is Reiki?

Reiki is both a spiritual practice and an energy healing system originating in Japan from its founder Mikao Usui.

The practitioner gently places their hands non-intrusively, on or near the body using their intuition and training as a guide. There is no massage or manipulation. Reiki can be used on the person as a whole, or on specific parts of the body. It is also possible to receive Reiki at a distance and aims to work on the four levels of healing; the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.

It is a tradition that is open to any belief system and benefits may include deep relaxation and the promotion of a calm peaceful sense of wellbeing.

Incorporating a combination of both Western and Eastern teachings of the method of Reiki, Usui Reiki Academy Surrey courses, allow students to learn techniques from both sides. Teaching mainly from the Eastern method with an emphasis on the meditative and mindful perspective. We provide the highest current professional qualification for professional reiki internationally.
